  • 1.2 “Quick Sick Cert”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the operators, owners, and legal entities managing the Service.
  • 1.3 “User”, “you”, or “your” refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Service.
  • 1.4 “Medical Certificate” means a digital certificate provided by our medical professionals verifying a health-related absence.
  • 1.5 “Consultation” includes any form of communication or review between the user and the QuickSickCert clinical team.
  • 1.6 Headings are provided for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. 

2. Acceptance of Terms

2.1 By using QuickSickCert, you confirm that: 

  • You are at least 18 years old or the legal age in your jurisdiction. 
  • You have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement. 
  • You agree to these Terms and the QuickSickCert Privacy Policy. 
  • You will use the Service only in accordance with applicable laws and not for any unlawful purpose or activity. 
  • 2.2 If you disagree with any of these Terms, you may not use QuickSickCert. 

3. Eligibility & User Obligations

3.1 To use the Service, you must: 

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information. 
  • Keep your login details confidential, if applicable. 
  • Not impersonate another person or misrepresent your condition. 

3.2 You agree to: 

  • Only use the Service for lawful purposes. 
  • Not attempt to breach our systems. 
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. 

3.3 We reserve the right to: 

  • Refuse service at our discretion. 
  • Suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or any misconduct.

4. Description of the Service

4.1 What QuickSickCert Offers 

  • QuickSickCert provides users with a means to request and receive a Medical Certificate confirming a short-term illness. 
  • Certificates are issued based solely on user-provided information through digital consultation. 
  • The Service is designed for non-emergency, short-term absence verification only. 

4.2 What QuickSickCert Does Not Offer 

  • QuickSickCert does not provide: 
  • Diagnosis of any illness or condition. 
  • Medical treatment or prescription services. 
  • Long-term or complex health assessments. 
  • Emergency or urgent medical care. 

4.3 Certificate Use Limitations 

  • Certificates are valid only for brief work or academic absences. 
  • They are not suitable for: 
  • Insurance claims. 
  • Legal documentation. 
  • Injury or disability assessments. 
  • Travel documentation. 
  • Ongoing medical care or mental health treatment. 

4.4 Certificate Validity 

  • Valid only in jurisdictions where such certificates are legally accepted. 
  • User is responsible for ensuring their employer or institution accepts the certificate format.

5. Consultation & Medical Certificate Process

5.1 How It Works 

  • You submit a form detailing your symptoms and absence dates. 
  • A licensed clinician reviews your submission. 
  • Additional questions or communication may occur via email or digital chat. 
  • If clinically appropriate, a certificate is issued. 

5.2 User Responsibility 

  • All information provided must be honest, accurate, and complete. 
  • Any omission or falsehood may result in denial of a certificate or service suspension. 
  • You agree to seek proper medical attention for any condition requiring diagnosis or treatment. 

5.3 Clinician Discretion 

  • The issuing of a certificate is solely at the discretion of the reviewing clinician. 
  • A certificate may be declined if: 
  • Symptoms are inconsistent. 
  • The condition is outside the Service scope. 
  • The request is for backdated or future-dated absence without adequate justification. 

6. No Diagnosis or Medical Treatment Disclaimer

6.1 Informational Use Only 

  • QuickSickCert is not a medical service provider. 
  • The Service provides documentation based only on self-reported symptoms. 
  • There is no medical examination or diagnostic testing involved. 

6.2 No Doctor–Patient Relationship 

  • Interactions via QuickSickCert do not constitute a formal doctor–patient relationship except where required by law to issue the certificate. 

6.3 Not a Substitute for Medical Care 

  • You agree that this Service is not a replacement for personal medical care. 
  • If you are experiencing worsening symptoms or a serious condition, you must seek professional healthcare immediately. 
  • In the case of emergency, dial your local emergency number (e.g., 911, 112). 

7. Fees, Payments, and Refunds

7.1 Fees 

  • Fees for Medical Certificates are displayed at checkout. 
  • All fees must be paid in full before a QuickSickCert clinician will review your request. 

7.2 Payment Processing 

  • Payments are securely processed via trusted third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal etc.). 
  • QuickSickCert does not store your credit card information. 

7.3 Refund Policy 

  • Refunds will only be issued if: 
  • A clinician declines to issue a Medical Certificate. 
  • A technical error on the part of QuickSickCert prevents delivery of a Medical Certificate. 
  • Refunds will not be issued if: 
  • You change your mind at any time throughout the process. 
  • Your Medical Certificate is rejected by your employer or institution. 
  • You provided incorrect or false information. 

8. Delivery of Medical Certificates

8.1 Certificate Format 

  • Medical Certificates are emailed in PDF format with a unique reference number, date, and issuing clinician details. 

8.2 User Verification 

  • You are responsible for reviewing the certificate and reporting any errors immediately. 

8.3 Misuse Prohibited 

  • Altering or tampering with a certificate is strictly prohibited and may result in legal consequences. 

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 All content, copyright, trade marks, branding, logos, and website features are the exclusive property of QuickSickCert.
9.2 You may not: 

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service or its output. 
  • Use the Service or certificates for resale or reproduction. 

10. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses

10.1 You agree not to: 

  • Use the Service for fraudulent purposes. 
  • Impersonate another person or falsify health information. 
  • Resell certificates or services. 
  • Attempt to hack, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service. 

10.2 Violations may result in: 

  • Immediate termination of access. 
  • Reporting to relevant authorities. 
  • Legal action. 

11. Privacy and Data Handling

  • 11.1 Your personal and health data is handled in accordance with our [Privacy Policy].
  • 11.2 Data is stored securely with access limited to authorized personnel.
  • 11.3 We comply with all applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR).
  • 11.4 You must consent to the processing and storage of sensitive personal health data for the purpose of issuing a Medical Certificate.

12.2 QuickSickCert is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party services.
12.3 Use of third-party features is at your own risk. 

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

13.1 QuickSickCert is provided “as is” without any warranties or guarantees.
13.2 We make no warranty that: 

  • the Service will meet your requirements. 
  • Medical Ccertificates will be accepted by all employers or institutions. 
  • The Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. 

13.3 You accept full responsibility for verifying certificate acceptance with third parties. 

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuickSickCert shall not be liable for: 

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. 
  • Loss of income or reputation due to rejection of a certificate. 
  • Damages arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the user. 

14.2 Total liability, if any, will not exceed the amount paid for the individual consultation. 

15. Indemnity

15.1 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuickSickCert and its employees from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from: 

  • Your use or misuse of the Service. 
  • Any false or misleading information you provide. 
  • Violation of these Terms or applicable laws. 

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
16.2 Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
16.3 You agree to waive any objection to venue or jurisdiction in such courts. 

17. Termination

17.1 QuickSickCert may terminate or suspend your access at any time for: 

  • Breach of Terms. 
  • Fraudulent activity. 
  • Misuse of the Service. 

17.2 You may stop using the Service at any time but you will remain liable for any costs incurred by QuickSickCert in providing the Service.
17.3 Certain provisions (including Sections 6, 7, 8, 13–17) survive termination. 

18. Amendments to Terms

18.1 QuickSickCert reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.
18.2 Changes are effective upon publication on our website.
18.3 Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance. 

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
